The Homework Battle: How to Get Children to do Homework
I read the above article recently and thought it would be useful to share. If, like me, homework can be a weekly battle, you may find some solutions. My main issue is trying not to feel responsible for their homework or doing it for them. One particularly challenging saturday morning my 9 year old reminded me that it was his home work!
The challenge comes, I think ,when you know they can produce better. I have found on these occasions, a quick chat with the teacher helps. They can then address it from a different perspective. We are, after all, in a partnership with them in bringing our kids.
